Communication Driver and Firmware Development

Intelligraphics is very familiar with a wide variety of communications technologies having provided communications driver and firmware support for nearly a decade. Our direct experience includes developing driver and firmware support for such areas as USB 1.1, USB 2.0, USB On-The-Go, 1394, hardware and controllerless modems, IrDA, external serial device PnP enumeration, USB to serial, TAPI, and Bluetooth.

Intelligraphics has implemented these solutions on a variety of PC and embedded operating systems and platforms. Our operating system experience includes Windows PC (all versions), Linux (PC and embedded), Windows CE, Symbian, Palm, VxWorks, Nucleus, UNIX, proprietary operating systems, and others. Our device experience includes providing support for SoCs, PCs, smartphones, set-top boxes, game consoles, PDAs, specialized devices/systems, etc.

USB On-The-Go
Intelligraphics has taken an early lead providing USB On-The-Go solutions to manufacturers of cutting-edge OTG hardware, having implemented one of the first embedded USB On-The-Go solutions available in the industry. As we have successfully overcome the learning curve for this exciting technology including SRP and HNP protocols, Intelligraphics is poised to become a primary provider of USB On-The-Go drivers and firmware solutions to hardware and system manufacturers alike.

USB 1.1, 2.0
Intelligraphics has provided dozens of USB 1.1 and 2.0 solutions to our customers across a variety of leading PC and embedded operating systems. Our team has worked with a number of manufacturers of USB driver hardware providing low-speed, full-speed, and high-speed USB driver/firmware solutions for device classes which include HID, scanners, video capture hardware, printers, monitors and hubs.  Intelligraphics also has extensive experience working with customers designing and implementing USB core logic, firmware and drivers for custom device solutions.

IEEE 1394
Intelligraphics has experience providing driver solutions for IEEE 1394 related devices. Some early 1394 work includes providing support for digital cameras, game consoles, and motor controllers. Our teams remain available to assist our customers with their specific 1394 development needs.

UltraWideBand
With direct experience assisting system manufacturers with UltraWideBand implementations, Intelligraphics engineering staff remains available to assist our customers with drivers and firmware to enable this exciting new wireless communication standard.

Bluetooth
As members of the Bluetooth SIG, Intelligraphics is closely familiar with this exciting wireless networking technology and the Bluetooth specification. Our development team has experience in providing driver development for Bluetooth devices. In addition, Intelligraphics' Bluetooth research and development projects have further equipped us with the expertise necessary to provide quality development for Bluetooth hardware. Intelligraphics' wireless networking/communication development teams remain available to assist our customers with software support for the Bluetooth communication protocol.

Modem / Communication
Intelligraphics' communication software development teams work with hardware manufacturers in both the PC and embedded systems industry to create quality communications support for their hardware devices. Intelligraphics has experience with several types of communications devices from hardware and controllerless modems to IrDA and serial devices. Our development groups have experience with a number of PC, PDA, and embedded operating systems and are familiar with a variety of communications hardware.

Our developers have implemented communications solutions that include external serial PnP enumeration, UART emulation layer, DSL, IrDA, I²C and  TAPI. Intelligraphics also provides system level software and device drivers to support joysticks and HID peripherals, mass storage hardware, parallel, and serial ports.
